Questions about questions

The most common questions from my daily practice help you gain important information in advance and clear up any uncertainties. This collection is designed to address typical concerns and make your decision easier.

How many treatments do I need?

It depends on how your body responds to acupuncture. It could be just one session or up to ten. In any case, you should feel an improvement in your pain after the first treatment. If there is no change, it is due to the acupuncturist and its technique – but never to acupuncture itself.

I have already tried TCM, but it didn’t help or only had a minimal effect.

Andy does not practice TCM – this term became popular after the Cultural Revolution (1966–1976) in China and is well marketed internationally. Today's acupuncture is largely based on the system of Chinese herbal medicine, known as Zang-Fu. Out of personal conviction, Andy uses his own system, which is based on the knowledge of ancient China.

How long does the effect last?

You can assume that if your pain does not return within 10 to 14 days, your body has healed it. Otherwise, another session is needed.

Acupuncture is painful because it involves needles.

The needles are extremely thin - much finer than injection needles. Most people feel only a slight tingling or nothing at all.
